Taylor out vs. Dallas

Jason Taylor will miss the Redskins' game against Dallas, Jim Zorn said today.

He was kicked in the calf in the game against Arizona and some swelling and pain came overnight. He went to the hospital and underwent a relatively minor procedure to drain the area. There will be no long-term problems, but he won't be ready to play against the Cowboys.

Taylor didn't have a sack against the Cardinals but he tipped a couple of passes to create some key incompletions.

I would think that Demetric Evans will start and play on running downs and Erasmus James will come in for passing situations.

Taylor is the second defensive starter to miss a game after being kicked in the leg. Shawn Springs missed the opener against the Giants after he was kicked in the shin during practice a few days before the game.
