After another bullpen melt-down, Sunday's game between the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves, resulted in another tough loss for Mets. With that loss, the Milwaukee Brewers gained a game in the N.L Wild Card chase, now only one and a half games behind the Mets. Now with only six games to go in Milwaukee's regular season, Brewer's fans can still hold hope because the final six games will be hosted in Milwaukee.

The Brewers start a three game set with the Pirates on Tuesday and the Mets will  begin a three game set with the Chicago Cubs in Shea Stadium, commencing today. Brewer's fans couldn't ask for a better team to play the Mets in hopes that the Cubs will pull through victorious. The Brewers are obviously in a must-win situation against the Pirates, who are dead last in the N.L Central. To give themselves a better chance to make the play-offs, Milwaukee must sweep and gain some confidence and momentum at home.

Milwaukee's ultimate test will begin Friday, when the N.L Central champs invade Miller Park for a three game set. Probable pitchers for Friday's game will be Dempster for the Cubs, 4-0 against the Brewers this season, and Ben Sheets for the Brewers. Fans desperately hope that Sheets has one more start in his tank, as this game will most likely be the most important of the season. But as for Saturday and Sunday, interim manager, Dave Sveum, will have to make some difficult decisions regarding starting pitchers.

Will the Milwaukee Brewers relinquish their play-off hopes to the Pirates and Cubs, or will the Brewers make the Pirates walk the plank and poach the Cubs?
