The Montreal Canadiens have sent rookie goaltender Carey Price and centre Kyle Chipchura to their AHL affiliate the Hamilton Bulldogs.
For Price it is deemed a 'conditioning' assignment.
With the Canadiens playing loose schedule over the next two weeks, GM Bob Gainey and coach Guy Carbonneau felt it would be more advantageous to play in Hamilton where their next four games will be at home.
They will then re-evaluate the situation in the coming two weeks.

Locke leads the Bulldogs in scoring and has been effective in Hamilton in the face-off department; a category the Canadiens as a whole have struggled.
