Black Eyed Peas Add Some Pizazz to Half Time Show

The Super Bowl is no stranger to pushing the envelope at halftime. We all remember fondly the miscue by Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson. So it was comforting to see the NFL go the way of pop culture cliche rather than trying to do too much.

The Black Eyed Peas were just enough glitz to keep our seats warm during the half. There was even a cameo by longtime rock guitarist Slash. It was a nice image to see he is still around and kicking. The Black Eyed Peas played a good portion of their hits.

The concert to a strange twist towards the end as dancers that wore what looked like lampshades on their heads danced on stage.

The performers opted to be surrounded by dancers next to their stage. It was a welcomed sight over the usual fake fans they get to swarm the stage.

We know they are extras. They know they are extras. I am glad they did away with the whole charade. I am not an idiot. So, don't play me like one.

The best part of the concert came when the band walked off stage. That meant one thing, the second half was about to begin.
