New York Giants Set to Battle the Cincinnati Bengals

Michael SamuelSenior Analyst IJune 8, 2016

The Giants are set to play the Cincinnati Bengals tomorrow morning at 10 am.  That is Pacific Time of course for me out here in Arizona. But on a serious note, the Giants should look to run the ball as always to set up play action for Eli Manning

I don't see the Bengals' secondary doing much to cover Plaxico Burress, Amani Toomer, Steve Smith, and Domenik Hixon.  Marvin Lewis, once considered a defensive guru when he was the coordinator for the Ravens in Super Bowl XXXV against Big Blue, has  since seen his defense look pathetic at times.

That being said, the Bengals have some talent on offense with Chad Ocho Cinco, TJ Houshmandzadeh, and Carson Palmer. The secondary of the Giants will face some challenges stopping the pass, but look for Justin Tuck to help lead the pass rush and Aaron Ross to help shut down these wide outs.

Prediction: Giants 31 Bengals 14

This game will be close for most of it but then Ahmad Bradshaw will seal the deal with an electric run after the Bengals' have had a steady dose of the bull dozing Brandon Jacobs and the versatile Derrick Ward.  Look for Eli Manning to keep the ball out of harms way as well.
