Super Bowl XLV Provides Football Fans with Great Quarterback Matchup

Super Bowl XLV is a tale of two teams.

The Green Bay Packers haven't played in the big game since 1998, when the Brett Favre-led squad lost John Elway's Denver Broncos just one year after winning it all.

But for the Pittsburgh Steelers, this is their third appearance in pro football's championship game since 2006.

Perhaps more importantly, though,  it's Ben Roethlisberger's chance for a third ring at only 28 years old and in just his seventh NFL season.

Now Big Ben obviously has the experience edge in the game, but most fans and analysts are calling Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers the better quarterback.

And who's really going to argue with that?

Rodgers has been stellar since taking over for Favre a few years ago, and he's led the Packers on an improbable late season/playoff charge to get to this game.

I could sit here and debate who's the better quarterback--Rodgers or Roethlisberger--all day, but they're so different that they can't even really be compared.

Rodgers is a traditional quarterback who can run, while Roethlisberger is more of the ultimate ad-libber.

I can't decide who I'd rather have, but I do know one thing: They'll provide football fans with one heck of a quarterback battle on Sunday.
