That Boy Ronaldo

That Boy Ronaldo, yes Cristiano Ronaldo for those of you who can't tell the difference. The saying goes no one player is bigger than the club, but does Man United really have an immediate answer, and by immediate I mean in 3-4 years, answer to Ronaldo when he departs?

As for people that claim United will be fine without him, I would agree with them except for the simple fact United lost everything when he was gone, ranging from their passing to releasing the pressure off the defense. Is this the same team from last year I asked myself as I sat watching united playing in the CL game last week. I looked around at the team, no one had left from last year, with the exception of Pique and Saha, both of whom never play really, but what is missing? Surely it can't be one player, it can't be the player that scored 42 goals, the player that won the double. It can't be that player that has speed I've never seen the likes of. It can't be that player that scored more with his head than Peter Crouch, yes the robot man. It can't be that player that hits a ball from the free kick position that buckles keepers knees. Surely it can't be be one player.

I was ready to quell my questions when all of a sudden I hear a roar in Old Trafford, the likes of which the man of the match deserves. Then the CL cameras all pan out to a man putting his Red shirt on. Stepping on the touchline. And there it was, the man that makes united. That Boy Ronaldo. It was as if Manchester had began their season all over, the combinations, the shots, the runs, the atmosphere had come back. Cristiano Ronaldo had come back.

That further delays the answer to my question. Does united depend on one man. The general of their ship, their commander in war, the boy that leads the men. As a man united fan, I pray the Red shirt stays on That Boy Ronaldo.
