ACC Basketball Wrap: UNC Drops Clemson
I took a few weeks off from writing this wrap up because, well, most of the schools took the time off for Christmas break.
Starting at the top, with the most intriguing game of the last month.
It took place this past Sunday night with a showdown at Little John Coliseum on the campus of Clemson University.
The No. 19 Tigers took on the top ranked North Carolina Tar Heels in a game that was all it was cracked up to be.
Clemson had a chance to steal the win at the end of regulation, but couldn't make a shot to save their lives, so the game went into overtime, where Clemson held the lead until the final seconds when UNC dropped a three to take the lead and end the game.
Now taking a look at the ACC overall, it's still too early to tell if the ACC is having another down year or not.
Of course you're going to have powerhouses Duke and UNC at the top, and maybe a surprise team here and there, but now as conference play gets underway, we'll see who the legit teams are.
Everyone in the conference is above .500 in their overall record. This upcoming Saturday will hold a full slate of ACC games, as most of the teams are playing, with Duke and Virginia wrapping up the week Sunday Night.
With football season in the books, it's now time to focus fully on basketball and the phenomenon that is known as March Madness.
