Well, actually not a satire. I think it's stupid how editors automatically put "Satire" before any article placed under "Humor"... Just because something humorous, doesn't mean it's satirical. Anyways...

Does anyone remember LeBron James' Nike "Rise" commercial a while back?

You know, the one that caused so much herp derp and led to that really lame, tasteless response from Cleveland fans?

Well, if you didn't, here it is right now.

You can see why it caused so much herp derp.

Anyway, a couple weeks back, a rather comical spoof was released in which LeBron James was replaced by Brett Favre. Here it is.

For those of you who are trapped in a cave in which you can only access this page of Bleacher Report, here is some background to a few of the references:

  • Brett Favre is known to retire, then change his mind and come back into the league numerous times. He retired three times, four if you count last offseason's fiasco.
  • Favre was involved in a scandal in which he allegedly sent Jets employee Jenn Sterger lewd pics of his "New York Giant."
  • Throughout his career, Favre became infamous for throwing balls directly into tight coverage. Yet somehow, they would sometimes miraculously land directly into receivers' hands and create massive plays. Many times, however, forcing balls in tight coverage resulted in picks.
  • Brett Favre is a model for Wranglers Jeans- his commercials often show up on the NFL network, as well as other networks.
