Usain Bolt: World Record-Holder Will Wear Uniform Designed By Bob Marley's Daughter in 2012 Olympics.

Usain Bolt, the Jamaican world record-holder in the 100 and 200 meters, has decided to wear a uniform designed by Bob Marley's daughter, Cedella Marley, in the 2012 London Olympics.

Marley was chosen by Puma to design the outfits.

"I can't think of a better person to design our Olympic outfits than Cedella," Bolt said in a statement. "Puma got that right … hooking up with a legendary Jamaican.

"It's going to be inspirational to run in London with that energy surrounding me."

Added Marley: "We both break records," Marley told The Associated Press on Wednesday in a telephone interview. "Marleys. Bolt. Legendary."

Puma has surely made a wise move here, not only weaving Jamaican culture into the uniforms, but bringing the Marleys' name out there into the open.

Not only should the company benefit financially for the move, they are doing something that draws consumers close to big companies, showing they care.

It's something that has worked for big companies in the past. It's part of the reason Nike's shoes have always taken off, because they generally put a little culture into them.

With Bolt flashing Puma's name as he streaks for another world record in 2012, people won't just notice the brand name, they'll notice the culture fabricated within.
