Jadeveon Clowney: Alabama, South Carolina and Clemson Still in It
The nation's top overall prospect, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was expected to announce his college decision this morning, but declined to do so and will instead wait until his birthday on February 14 to make his college choice.
While most experts have called this a two-horse race between Alabama and South Carolina, Clowney told ESPNU during an interview this afternoon that he was also considering Clemson and at this time really didn't know what he was going to do and needed more time to settle things.
After the way Clemson racked up recruits, including 5-star linebackers Stephone Anthony and Tony Steward, it doesn't look like a stretch for Clowney to head to the "other" in-state school.
We still think this is South Carolina's race to lose, but with another two weeks until this is settled there's plenty of time for Alabama and Clemson to convince Clowney he belongs with them.
