De'Anthony Thomas Announcement: Latest Reports Have Him Headed to Oregon
Five-star cornerback De'Anthony Thomas, one of the top overall prospects in the country and a legitimate blue-chip talent on both sides of the field, might drop a bomb on USC tonight.
Thomas, a Crenshaw native, committed to the Trojans last May and had consistently remained firm in his decision.
That was until his just completed visit to Oregon over the weekend.
After the trip, several reports surfaced that Thomas was wavering on his commitment and was seriously considering making a switch to Oregon when he makes his announcement on National Signing Day.
The top overall prospect from the state of California and the headliner of USC's top-10 recruiting class, Thomas' loss would be a huge blow for the Trojans.
Were Oregon to steal this one, it would go down as one of the biggest shockers on signing day.
Thomas won't be announcing his decision until 8:00 p.m. E.T. but right now it looks like Oregon might just pull it off.
Reports are coming out that USC is in scramble mode to try and convince Thomas to stay, but it doesn't look good right now.
