National Signing Day: Tony Steward and Lamar Dawson Headline Surprise Signings
National Signing Day 2011 is barely underway and already we're getting exactly the type of announcements we expected.
In a year where many experts and observers have noted that they've never seen so many wavering and uncommitted prospects at this time of the year, it should come as no surprise that things simply aren't going to go down how we expect.
Tony Steward and Lamar Dawson are prime examples.
Steward was long considered a Florida State lean; Dawson was down to Kentucky and Tennessee.
Steward announced for Clemson, and Dawson picked USC out of nowhere.
So while it would have been hard to predict those decisions a day ago, this is the type of year it's been.
With top-rated prospects like Cyrus Koaundjio considering schools like New Mexico, we may be in for even more shockers as the day plays out.
