The McLaren Mercedes team held a press conference at Stuttgart's Mercedes-Benz Museum to present the brand new version of their F1 race car.

Approximately 700 Mercedes employees and 400 other lucky press members were invited to attend the event.

The primary colors of the 2008 version of the car will remain the same—a dominant silver tainted of orange. A quick look from any picture reveals the precision of the chassis' shape. Its embossed curves are the result of some intense (and priceless) work inside their sophisticated wind tunnels during the offseason. The wings also show many new forms and curves.

Drivers Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen were present for the showing. This will be the second F1 season for Hamilton while the team welcomes Heikki Kovalainen who had a highly respectable season with Renault.

Team manager Ron Dennis was very precise as of his objectives for his team next season. Dennis said that this car could bring home both the drivers championship and the constructors championship.(Pictures: McLaren MP4-23, McLaren.)
