Dear Fred and Jeff Wilpon: Please Sell The New York Mets Now!

The news broke last week that the principal owners of the New York Mets, Fred and Jeff Wilpon, were in big trouble.
The Wilpons are being sued by a trustee involved with Bernie Madoff, claiming that the Mets owners made off with more funds than they put into the infamous company, as he is looking to recover Madoff's lost assets. Last year, this trustee came out with information that the Wilpons made $48 million on the ponzi scheme after they withdrew $570 million in funds, after initially investing $522 million.
That same trustee is threatening to sue for close to $1 billion in damages.
It is the Ponzi scheme that just keeps haunting this Mets franchise since the story broke late in 2008. Now the Wilpons are on the brink of cracking.
For the past two years many have speculated that that the Mets were in dire financial straits because of the Madoff scandal. Rumors even had the Wilpons losing hundreds of millions of dollars because of it.
The Mets cut costs on the baseball team. and it showed in the product they put on the field.
