Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers dropped another big game yesterday, this time to the rival Boston Celtics in Staples Center.

The game was close for most of the way before the Celtics pulled away in the fourth quarter and made it somewhat of a laugher. These types of performances are starting to become commonplace for the Lakers, who have struggled against some of the top teams in the NBA and even dropped a few games it should never, ever drop along the way.

At some point between the blowout loss at home to the Miami Heat and this loss to the Celtics, along with Los Angeles' body of work, you have to be concerned about the state of the Lakers. Something needs to change and fast for the Lakers and it starts with a sense of urgency. There doesn't seem to be the same fire or spark that helped the Lakers win the championship the past two years and if Los Angeles can get that back, they'll be in great shape.

However, if the Lakers think they can just walk into the postseason and win a title, they'll be in for a rude awakening.
