Starting at their own twenty-six yard line, less than 8 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, down by 6 points. This hasn't been a good situation for the Buffalo Bills in recent years. Year after year, quarterback after quarterback, the Bills just couldn't seem to find someone to win games like the one on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Collins, Johnson, Van Pelt, Bledsoe, Holcomb, Losman...this long list of quarterbacks couldn't get the job done in Buffalo's current 9 year playoff draught. On Sunday, the search seemed to be over. Second year Quarterback Trent Edwards drove his offense down the field with 3rd down completion after 3rd down completion. Edwards capped off the drive with a seven-yard touchdown pass to rookie Wide Receiver James Hardy. The Bills took a 17-16 lead with 4:10 left to go. The Bills defense prevailed to carry them to a 20-16 win, but Edwards was the leader the Bills have been looking for.
Get ready Bills fans...this could be the season you've been waiting for. Edwards proved on Sunday that Nobody Circles the Wagon, like the Buffalo Bills.
