Canada is the second largest country in the world, in terms of size, behind Russia. It also has the world's longest coastline. They were the country to invent the baseball glove, lacrosse and basketball. That is correct, Dr. James Naismith, inventor of basketball, is from Canada.

These are facts about Canada.

This is another: The female athletes in Canada are hot. They get no love from the media, but after doing plenty of research, I have come across some of the hottest women in the world today, all from Canada.

You might have heard of some of these beauties while others are fresh faces to you. So get ready for a fun ride looking at the sexiest female athletes Canada has to offer. Enjoy.

15. Charline Labonte: Hockey

15charlinelabonte_display_image

Why not start off with a hockey babe?

Hockey is bigger in Canada than Elvis in Memphis. It is their big sport, so I honor that with a beautiful hockey babe to start the show.

Charline Labonte plays goaltender for the Canadian Olympic team, as well as playing in the National Women's Hockey League.

It is hard to notice her looks behind all that gear she dons, but when you get rid of it, you get a hottie.

Nice work, Canada. Two thumbs up.

14. Heather Moyse: Bobsledding

14heathermoyse_display_image

For Heather Moyse, you can take the word "cute" and put her picture with it in the dictionary. This beautiful bobsledder makes the word "cute" look good.

Aside from being incredible as a bobsledder, winning a gold medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics, she also plays rugby.

Rugby? Wow, what a strange sport for someone so cute and sexy to be playing. But do not let all that cuteness fool you, she is bad ass in the rugby world.

13. Tammy Sutton-Brown: Basketball

13tammysutton-brown_display_image

Tammy Sutton-Brown could kick your ass.

That is her slogan, given to her by me. She is freaking tall, too. She is like 400 feet tall and can play defense better than half the WNBA.

She was the first Canadian born player to be selected to the WNBA All-Star Game in 2002. She was also an All-Star in 2007, but since then she has moved on to the European leagues.

12. Ashleigh McIvor: Freestyle Skiier

Does anyone else want to make a MacGyver joke?

I understand it is a different last name, but it is so close that I just can not help myself. Put me in an abandoned shack somewhere in the forest with Ashleigh and I would definetly not mind at all.

11. Tessa Virtue: Ice Dancer

If you watched the 2010 Winter Olympics then you might remember this hottie from the Canadian ice dancing team. She and her partner, some dude, won the gold medal for ice dancing in the pairs category, a pretty sweet accomplishment.

Now it is time to admire her beauty. She was so smoking hot during the Olympics, that I remembered her and finally had a chance to use her today. It might have took a while, but I was waiting for the right time to remind the world of just how hot these Canadian athletes are, especially the ice skating women.

10. Stacey Dales: Basketball

For the fans of college football, you might remember her from the Senior Bowl this past weekend. She was one of the the sideline reporters for NFL Network. She also used to play basketball in the WNBA.

The best part is that she is from Canada.

I was at the Senior Bowl this past weekend and had the chance to meet her. She is hotter in person, trust me! She is one hot, hot hottie.

9. Cheryl Bernard: Curling

Milf!

Every time I mention Cheryl Bernard, the first term that pops in anyone's head is milf. The term is used more than it should these days, but Cheryl has earned it.

She has made a name for herself just from being a hottie.

8. Jamie Sale: Pair Skater

Thank you, FHM. Thank you for contracting with the beautiful Jamie Sale for this photo shoot many years ago.

We sit here in awe of the body she has and wonder how great it would have been to see her in Playboy, too. Not to worry folks, having her in FHM is just as good for now.

7. Alex Gough: Luge

Some people do not find a lip piercing sexy. I am not one of those people and maybe those people should reconsider after looking at Alex Gough's photos.

She makes it work, in more ways than one, and still looks super sexy with one. She plays a sport where we are not used to seeing unless during the Olympics, so anything she can do to remind us about her works for me.

6. Caitlin Lever: Softball

6caitlinlever_display_image

Who the hell is Caitlin Lever and why has she never been brought to my attention yet?

When I discovered Caitlin, I felt as if I had just discovered a gold mine under 10,000 rocks. She is uber hot. She is not regular hot, she is the ultimate of hottness. She is the upside of beautiful.

I think I have made my point about how incredibly beautiful she is, now go and enjoy her hottness for a few more moments.

5. Dominika Kopcik: Synchronized Swimming

5dominikakopcik_display_image

Who knew synchronized swimming had so many hotties?

Dominika Kopcik is a Canadian synchronized swimmer. She has opened my eyes to the sport. She makes me wonder how many other beauties I have missed in the past that have come from the synchronized swimming world.

4. Mellisa Hollingsworth: Skeleton

4mellisahollingsworth_display_image

Now this is a sport. I am not talking about riding a sled at 90 mph down one of the scariest tracks you can imagine without the ability to stop yourself if something bad were to happen. Skeleton is like driving a car down a mountain without being able to break, on ice.

That is not why I love this sport. It is the women's uniforms. Look at Melissa Hollingsworth's skin tight body suit and tell me you do not agree. That is basically painted on her body. You have to love a sport with gear like that.

3. Sarah Burke: Skiier

3sarahburke_display_image

Who says you have to be the best at your sport to be popular?

Sarah Burke has no idea what that means because she is the best at her sport and is well admired, too. She has dominated the Superpipe at the Winter X Games, winning a gold medal in four of the last five years, including this past week.

I am not sure about you, but I am ready to watch the Superpipe knowing she is there every year.

2. Tanith Belbin: Figure Skating

2tanithbelbin_display_image

WHAT?

She is an American? She competed for the USA in the Olympics? What is this you speak of, Belbin a Canadian? This is madness!

She is Canadian. She was born there and moved to the States to train for ice skating. She was having trouble finding a partner good enough for her so she moved to the U.S. and found a decent one.

She won the silver medal in 2006 Winter Olympics with him.

I am glad she is from Canada, she just propelled their average hottie level way up.

1. Kimiko Zakreski: Snowboarding

1kimikozakreski_display_image

Kimiko Zakreski is young, hot and talented. She is also very famous. She was featured on two MTV Canada shows, Summer Sessions and Over the Bolts.

From the looks of her, I have no trouble seeing why she was selected the hottest Canadian athlete. Her beauty speaks for itself.
