Derrick Rose's Stomach Ulcers: Result of Candy Abuse?

So, a big story today was Derrick Rose having stomach ulcers, despite being named to the All-Star team. At first it sounds pretty alarming; a young kid like that having ulcers, not the worst thing that could happen, but also not good. I did a few Google searches, and came across this ESPN article from his freshman year at Memphis.
It's kind of hard not to laugh when you are reading this.
"He eats Gummy Bears and Starburst for breakfast, and Twizzlers and Honey Buns for dinner. That's why his stomach hurts," fellow guard Chris Douglas-Roberts said. "We tell Derrick the whole year, 'Stop eating so many Gummy Bears and Sour Straws.' But he can't. ... Nobody eats Gummy Bears more than him."

When you eat Gummy Bears, Starburst, Twizzlers and Honey Buns like you're in the movie Elf, you probably will get some type of stomach issues, if not diabetes.
Maybe Rose should call Lamar Odom and go to rehab to quit this candy binge.
I like candy, don't me wrong, I probably eat it a little more than I should, but I'm also not a professional athlete. When your body is essentially your money maker, you think you would treat it a little better with, I don't know, FOOD?
Maybe the Bulls should send Rose back to pre-school so he can understand that vegetables aren't icky.
