Twins Baseball

Well, this is my first article.  I have the pleasure of writing about my baseball team, the Minnesota Twins.  What an embarrassing three game set in Cleveland.  I understand the game three loss, with Cliff Lee pitching.  All the same, they came back and tied the game after giving up yet another lead.  4-4 game with Lee out of the game, you have to feel pretty confident.  Then the bullpen comes in and gives up the runs again.  If we do somehow make it to October, I fear it will be short lived.  Our pitchers can't hold leads against the Orioles and the Indians, how are they supposed to win against the Angels, Red Sox, or Rays?  Don't get me wrong, I want the Twins in the playoffs as much as any other fan, but as of now, they simply don't deserve it.  Losing the first two games to a pair of left-handed rookies is unacceptable.  Win one of those games, we're 1 1/2 games back.  Now we have to break a four game losing streak at Tropicana, where the team that plays there is virtually unbeatable at home.  The way I see it, if we don't come out of Tampa with at least two wins, we're done.  We HAVE to be within at least three games of the Sox when they visit the dome, and if it is a three game deficit, the final home-stand needs to be at least 5-1.  Very possible.  We have to play well against the Sox, and the Royals are very easy to beat lately.  I don't know fellow fans.  Only 2 1/2 games back, but they are a huge 2 1/2 games, especially with us going to Tampa and the Sox at KC.  We're done with Cleveland, thank let's get back on track against the Rays, and bring home a championship.
