Khloe Kardashian and Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom are getting their own spinoff of the Kardashian's hit reality television show, according to E! Network.

This will be the third spinoff of the hit reality show that vaulted Khloe and sisters Kim and Kourtney into superstardom in Hollywood, and will follow the couple as they take on parenthood and Lamar's travels with the Lakers.

But is this show really a good idea? After all, this won't be the first time an NBA couple (or a sports couple in general) has had a reality show focused on their lives, and it has yet to end well.

Remember Doug Christie and his wife, Jackie? Sure, they're still together, but the show put a well-publicized strain on the relationship.

And who could forget Basketball Wives, the show which documents how completely and utterly insane NBA WAGs can be?

Plus, given the Lakers' recent struggles with consistency, perhaps this show isn't the best idea for one of the team's crucial cogs. Odom's averaging 15.6 points and 9.5 points per game this year, and is integral to Los Angeles' title hopes.

If he's busy worrying about his new show, and not focusing on the court, it could cost the Lakers a third title.
