Super Bowl Prop Bets 2011: The Result of the First Coaches' Challenge
Super Bowl prop bets can be very creative. This one allows you to bet on what the result of the first coaches' challenge will be. Do you think the call will be overturned, or upheld?
The NFL average on this call is 39.3 percent, so the odds would say that the call will be upheld. It's a bit difficult to add much more insight than that, without knowing what the play is, but that's part of the fun of it, is it not?
The one caveat to that, for what it's worth, is that Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is generally viewed as one of the more shrewd challengers in the league, getting a higher than usual percentage of the calls he challenges reversed. And, Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin is one of the most conservative challengers in the league, almost never throwing the red flag unless it's an obvious call.
So, with those facts in mind, I'd actually take the bet that it will be overturned. How about you?
