Bolt does New York in style

100 and 200 metre world record holder Usain Bolt is enjoying his recently attained celebrity status. The young 22 year old from Kingston, Jamaica is set to make his U.S network television debut, appearing on "the late show" with David Letterman. He is the first Jamaican athlete to be featured on the show which will air on September 24th 2008. That won't be the only stop on Usain's busy schedule.  Bolt will also make appearances on "the daily show" with John Stewart on September 25th and round up his tour with a visit to "Live with Regis and Kelly" on September 26th. 

Bolt, who shaved 0.03 seconds off his previous world record on his way to a 9.69 Olympic and world record time is also said to be a huge fan of European football and particularly Ruud Van Nistelrooy to the point where he has been invited to train with Real Madrid and watch a game at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Spain.  Even though the the dates have not yet been worked out between the two parties, Bolt is said to be happy with the attention he and the Island of Jamaica are getting.
