Ted Williams Leaves Rehab: Golden Voice Williams Quits On Rehab
Ted Williams, the man with a golden voice that was discovered panhandling in Columbus, Ohio, has apparently quit on his rehabilitation for drugs.
In a viral YouTube video, Williams was shown using his radio voice to earn money from motorists in Ohio. Williams immediately intrigued the entire nation and immediately earned job offers from several outlets, including the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Williams became an overnight celebrity and suddenly toured the nation making television appearances. It was during a visit in Los Angeles that Williams was arrested along with his daughter for getting into an altercation.
Williams then admitted that he was still using alcohol and pledged to enter rehab. Two weeks later, TMZ is reporting that he has quit.
According to TMZ: "Ted Williams -- the homeless man with the "Golden Voice" -- has left rehab against medical advice, less than two weeks after checking in for drug and alcohol dependency
"Our sources say Ted -- who decided to go to rehab earlier this month after a taping of the Dr. Phil show -- left the Origins Recovery Center in South Texas moments ago and is on his way to the airport."
