Herschel Walker: Where Does 48-Year-Old Walker Want To Make NFL Comeback?
Herschel Walker has already proven his doubters wrong when many questioned his decision to become a professional MMA fighter. Now he appears to be willing to give professional football another shot.
The soon-to-be 49 year old Walker is set to fight in his second MMA match this weekend and told people that he's thinking about coming back to the NFL.
"I've told everyone that at 50 I might try football again to show people I can do that," Walker said during a conference call. "I want to be the George Foreman of football, come back and do that one more time."
The difference, however, the heavyweight Foreman didn't exactly keep himself in the best of shape as he fought in his 50s. Walker, on the other hand, is in excellent condition.
If he's in that great of shape, he might as well go for it.
Where does he want to play? ESPN writes he has his eyes set on two NFL teams.
"The two teams I would come back to play for are Minnesota or Atlanta," Walker said. "It would probably be Atlanta because that's home for me.
"I'm a Georgia boy. That's just home."
The Falcons probably wouldn't mind giving him a long look this offseason, after getting upset by the Green Bay Packers.
What do they have to lose?
As for the Vikings, maybe he can convince Brett Favre to give it another shot and pair up with Walker to become the oldest passer-receiver tandem in the history of the NFL.
