Herschel Walker: Could Walker-Brett Favre Tandem Be Possible in Minnesota?
All kidding aside, the chances of Herschel Walker making an NFL comeback is very remote. What's even more unlikely is the return of 41-year-old Brett Favre for another NFL season with the Vikings.
But don't say it's impossible.
We know how Brett rolls. He's pulled the "Boy Who Cried Wolf" thing on us one too many times.
As for Hersch, the guy is an MMA fighter and is in tip-top condition.
Where does he want to play? ESPN writes he has his eyes set on two NFL teams.
"The two teams I would come back to play for are Minnesota or Atlanta," Walker said.
Now the Falcons make sense, it's his hometown and they're playoff contenders. But why Minnesota?
Maybe Herschel knows something we don't know. Maybe he can convince Brett to give a go for one more season.
Between the two, Favre will turn 42 in the next NFL season and Walker will turn 49 in March. That's over 90 years of life experience.
Walker's versatility could allow him to spell Adrian Peterson at time and also get time in as a fourth or fifth receiver for the team.
Imagine the oldest passer-receiver duo in NFL history making a strong run next season, that would be entertaining.
Yes, doesn't the thought of those two old guys running around next season make you all nostalgic about the late 80s and early 90s?
Don't count them out. It can happen.
