Edmonton Oilers 2008-09 Fantasy Hockey Preview
We are now about a week away from the start of training camp for the 2008-09 NHL season, and my hockey-crazed brother and I have begun work on our own fantasy hockey magazine, predicting the stats for every player on the starting roster of an NHL team.
We hope we can accurately predict most players' statistics and we hope to help you with your fantasy hockey teams. A new article will be posted every couple of days at the most, and some teams will come even sooner. We will be doing this in alphabetical order.
Edmonton Oilers' 2008-09 Projected Lineup
Erik Cole-Shawn Horcoff-Ales Hemsky
Dustin Penner-Sam Gagner-Andrew Cogliano
Robert Nilsson-Kyle Brodziak-Fernando Pisani
Ethan Moreau-Marc Pouliot-Zach Stortini
Lubomir Visnovsky-Sheldon Souray
Tom Gilbert-Steve Staios
Denis Grebeshkov-Ladislav Smid
Fantasy Stud: Ales Hemsky
Already a very talented player, Hemsky could be even better if he played harder and found the consistency needed to be an All-Star at this level.
Watch Out For: Sheldon Souray
I think he will actually have a decent season, but you must be aware that this guy has had serious injuries in the past and may not be able to play a full season.
