Jay Cutler Injury: Now Revealed to be MCL Sprain, Are Attacks Justified?
Jay Cutler's injury was originally revealed to be a torn MCL. When that happened, I originally felt some sympathy. Never had a torn MCL, but I imagine it would hurt. With an injury like that, the attacks seemed harsh.
Now, it's been noted that he suffered an MCL sprain. Suddenly, the comments against Cutler seem more justified. A sprained MCL hurts, but it's possible to play on it. Maurice Jones-Drew's twitter comment might have said it best: "All I'm saying is that he can finish the game on a hurt knee... I played the whole season on one..."
It doesn't help that he stood on the sidelines either. If he could have stood on it, he could have played. As more information comes in, my opinion and others' will likely continue to shift.
