When, I think of Ned Yost. I think of a manager who should have been in line for winning the NL Manager of the Year Award. I'm not going to bog us down with mundane numbers. But, what I am going to say is that no one saw this coming. The Brewers are tied for first place in the NL Central division and very much in the Wild Card hunt as of toda
y they are tied for it. The Chicago Cubs are a superior team across the board. The Brewers have Braun, Sabbathia, Fielder, Sheets and Hardy, after that it gets murky and to have this kind of success I think should be rewarded. I recognize the success of the Mets post the firing of Randolph. But, that wasn't a month prior to the playoffs. Yost hasn't been blowing the lead, striking out looking or getting in scuffles with fellow players. When players don't perform the media is finds a scape goat. Who more often than not is the manager. To say that the Tigers need to fire Leyland after a horrendous year is justified. I would ask questions about Sheffield, the bullpen and Dombrowski.
