UFC Fight for the Troops 2: Results, Analysis and Live Blog

Bleacher ReportSenior Writer IJanuary 22, 2011

The UFC hosts its second Fight for the Troops and third event in cooperation with the United States military tonight at Fort Hood, Texas.

Like every card, this one's seen its share of injuries, such as the one that scrapped the anticipated main event between Kenny Florian and Evan Dunham.

However—and also like every other card—Dana White, Joe Silva and UFC matchmakers have scrambled to piece together an exciting free event for the fans.

The resurgent Melvin Guillard stepped in to take KenFlo's place and suffice it to say that little buzz has been lost with the insertion of the "Young Assassin" to face the only once-defeated "3-D."

Additionally, we've got The Ultimate Fighter alumnus Matt Mitrione taking on Tim Hague in a battle of heavyweight bangers, George Roop versus Matt Hominick in a scrap between promising featherweights and another appearance by everyone's favorite guillotine artist, Cody McKenzie.

From top to bottom, the card looks like a burner start to finish.

And there's even a little extra promotional nugget for the Facebook crowd...
