Boston Bruins Captains Camp Underway

Shawn OwensAnalyst ISeptember 16, 2008

The Boston Bruins Captain's Camp is underway and it has been a mix of young and veteran players. Both Tim Thomas and Manny Fernandez are in the net today with the youngsters. Fernandez is looking sharp in net and playing his angles really well. Blake Wheeler and Zach Hamill the Bruins top prospects have been on the ice and are feeling like they belong.

Patrice Bergeron has been on the ice as well and is feeling great. He say's he is 100 percent with no concussion symptoms. Bergeron would just like to forget what happened last season and move forward with his career. Chuck Kobasew is back and can't wait to get back to work with the team.

He had a good workout towards the end of the summer that is propelling him into camp feeling good. Kabasew missed 41 games and the playoffs for the Bruins last season. Kobasew also mentioned that he is excited to have Stephane Yelle on the team this year.

Kabasew and Yelle were teammates in Calgary, Kobasew feels that Yelle’s presence in the locker room, and the little things he does on the ice like, blocking shots, and taking the crucial draw is what Yelle brings to the Bruins. Not to mention, he has a few Stanley Cups to his resume that can't hurt.

Stay tuned for more info on Captain's Camp and the official opening day for all the Bruins.
