Carlos Zambrano returned from an injured  rotator cuff in dramatic fashion.

In Miller Park (Milwaukee, WI), the Houston Astros played host to the Chicago Cubs due to the effects of Hurricane Ike.  Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano stepped it up for his team in a big way, throwing the first no hitter in over three decades.

Zambrano struck out 10 Astros, including Darin Erstad for the final out, while walking only one.  Big-Z has flirted with a couple of other no-hitters this season, and Sunday became the second pitcher of the 2008 season (Jon Lester) to throw a no-no.

Zambrano stifled the white-hot Astros, and increased the Cubs' lead over Milwaukee in the Central to 7.5 games after the Brewers were swept later by the Phillies.
