WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: John Cena Gets His Rumble Spot?

Tonight, WWE Monday Night Raw comes to us from the Verizon Center in Little Rock, Ark.

We learned earlier today on WWE.com that for the first time ever, 40 men will participate in the Royal Rumble match two weeks from now.

It seems WWE is doing this to help the buyrate for the Rumble and has nothing to do with any storyline.

It is expected wrestlers will enter every 60 seconds to move the match along a little quicker since there is an extra 10 wrestlers.

We learned that The Miz will defend his WWE Championship against Randy Orton at the Royal Rumble. This marks the second straight year that Orton has gone into the Rumble as the challenger for the WWE Championship.

John Cena will be at the arena live this week, and could stake his claim into the big Royal Rumble match.

However, CM Punk and his henchmen could cause problems for Cena, and he will likely have to get through them to get a spot in the Rumble.

Speaking of Nexus, on this past SmackDown, we saw Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel and Ezekiel Jackson align themselves with Wade Barrett in what appears to be a new incarnation of the Nexus group. WWE is advertising Wade Barrett's new group as "Nexus."

With that being said, we could see Punk's stable getting a new name tonight.

Also, according to WWE.com, some of the participants of the Royal Rumble match will be revealed tonight.

I also expect newly signed WWE "Diva" Awesome Kong to debut soon.  She could go after Divas Champion Natayla right out of the gates.
