Dominating Performance by Trojans against Overrated Buckeyes

The Trojans of USC proved that they are the number one team in the land after destroying the number five Ohio State Buckeyes 35-3. Mark Sanchez led the Trojans by completing 17 out of 28 passes for 172 yards. Sanchez also threw for four touchdowns including two to WR Damian Williams. The only blemish for Sanchez came right before the half when he tried to complete a pass in the end zone that was picked off by Chimdi Chekwa. USC came out against the Buckeyes determined to win and show the entire nation that they are the best team in the land and that they will be the champions at the end of the season.

On the other side of the story you have the Ohio State Buckeyes who only managed to muster a field goal against the mighty Men of Troy. The Buckeye quarterbacks had no time to throw and therefore, many bad decisions were made. Quarterback Todd Boeckman threw two interceptions, one resulting in a touch down returned by Rey Maualuga. Rookie Quarterback Terrelle Pryor did no better completing 7 out of 9 passes for 52 yards. The only player who did anything on the team was the kicker, Ryan Pretorius, who gave the Buckeyes their only points of the ball game early in the first quarter.

I believe that Ohio State should drop into the twenties in the national rankings after this embarrassing lose at the hands of USC. If Ohio State can not compete with teams like USC, they will not be able to compete against teams in their own division like Wisconsin, Penn State, and Illinois. I really do not see the Buckeyes doing much this season because they always choke in big game situations. They have lost the past two years in the Championship game to Florida and LSU. Now, after this horrible lost at the hands of the Trojans, I really do not see Ohio State making much noise at all.

I do believe that the Trojans will go undefeated this season becoming the Champions by defeating Oklahoma in the Championship game.
