Arsene Wenger has never failed to buy the right player. Ever.
But the players he buys sometimes let him down in the way they play.
It's not as if Arsenal have any Santa Cruzes to shift in January. It really isn't that bad, but I get a feeling that the Frenchman is losing patience with one big name purchase and needs money to make a bid for another he fancies.
Expect Andrei Arshavin to move out of Arsenal and a cheeky bid for M'Vila to be made by way of a squad replacement.
Arshavin seems to be working to the wrong play book at the minute, and is firing on two of his four cylinders, but then his form was always patchy.
But M'Vila could serve several purposes, toughening up the midfield and offering more protection to the Arsenal defence, whilst also readying the squad for the certain transfer of Fabregas to Barca in the summer.
You heard it here first.
