WWE Officially Announces Edge Vs. Dolph Ziggler At The Royal Rumble
When Edge captured the World Heavyweight Championship title from Kane at the WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, & Chairs pay-per-view; it wasn’t expected that his feud with “The Big Red Monster” would continue much longer.
Many anticipated that the brash, cocky superstar, Alberto Del Rio, would be next in line for a shot at the gold considering World Wrestling Entertainment already seems to be laying the foundation for a feud amongst the two superstars in previous weeks to the event.
That was however, not the case, but their seems to be another rising competitor on the horizon for “The Rated R Superstar” and he happens to be represented by a familiar face in Edge's past.
Today, “The Worldwide Leader in Sports Entertainment” announced that Edge will put his World Heavyweight Championship title on the line at the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event against former WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler.
Unfortunately for Edge, Ziggler will have his girlfriend in his corner, Vickie Guerrero.
Ziggler defeated Drew McIntyre, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, and The Big Show in a Fatal 4 Way match on last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown! to become the new No. 1 contender for the belt.
The sparks will begin flying tonight on SyFy, when Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero will be guests on Edge’s talk show, The Cutting Edge.
