January Transfer Window Latest: Bentley, Bridge, Michel Bastos, Van Bommel

Let's be honest, not a whole lot has come through the January transfer window so far.
Plenty of hot air as usual, and some cracking rumours to keep us entertained, but Edin Dzeko's move to Manchester City has been the only thing worth talking about so far.
But, the deals are slowly starting to happened.
We've got Wayne Bridge and David Bentley on the move today.

According to Metro.co.uk, Arsenal will sign one of Gary Cahill, Per Mertesacker or Emir Spahic before January is over.
Arsene Wenger is keen to find a stand-in for Thomas Vermaelen, who is still struggling with an Achilles injury.
Cahill has impressed in the colours of Bolton are Wenger is a known admirer.
Spahic plays for Montpellier in France, will Mertesacker is at Werder Bremen in Germany.

Manchester United are reportedly lining up a £22million bid for Lyon full-back Michel Bastos.
According to caughtoffside.com, United have given up hope on signing Tottenham's Gareth Bale and see Bastos as the ideal alternative.
The 27-year-old Brazilian could be the perfect man to replace Patrice Evra if he leaves Old Trafford in the summer.

AC Milan, Tottenham and Manchester City are all keen to sign 33-year-old Mark van Bommel when his contract runs out at Bayern Munich this summer.
According to the Daily Mirror, Milan are fronrunners for the Dutchman's signature and will hold talks with Milan this week.
But City and Spurs will be keeping tabs on the outcome, and are ready to pounce if it doesn't work out.

Wayne Bridge has joined West Ham United on loan from Manchester City.
The full-back will be at Upton Park until the end of the season, after failing to hold down a regular first-team place at Eastlands.
You might remember Bridge as the man who decided not to make himself available for England at the World Cup, after a fallout with John Terry over his ex-girlfriend.

The man formerly known as 'the next David Beckham' has join Birmingham on loan after struggling to make an impression at Tottenham this season.
The 26-year-old David Bentley joined Spurs for £15million in 2008, but has been resigned to a bit-part role under Harry Redknapp.
Birmingham have surely promised first-team action and a chance to prove himself.
