Steve Nash Trade Rumors: Suns Say Nash Not on Trading Block
Steve Nash trade rumors may be just here-say, according to sources close to the situation.
Rotoworld.com relays the story from Fanhouse:
"The Suns do not want to trade PG Steve Nash right now, though a league source still didn't guarantee that it couldn't happen in advance of the trade deadline.
Much of the league is waiting for the Carmelo Anthony trade to go down, and that may be the biggest reason of all that guys like Nash are currently being held from the trading block. After Tuesday's blowout loss to the Nuggets, however, the Suns are one step closer to their inevitable rebuilding stage."
As of right now, Nash is still a member of the Phoenix Suns, and any trade rumors to the contrary have yet to be substantiated.
Paul Coro of the Republic writes that Nash says team president Lon Babby told him earlier this season that the point guard will not be moved this season, according to SBNation.com. However, we have learned that things can change in an instant. Most likely, trade talks would be initiated by Nash himself, who will gauge the future of the Phoenix Suns when the deadline nears, which is over a month away.
