Yes, it is true Warren Sapp called Florida Gators coach Urban Meyer a "classless dirtbag."
Just because Sapp is a former Miami Hurricane doesn't give him the right to call anyone a "classless dirtbag."
Sapp called Meyer that name because Meyer forced his team to kick a field goal, to make an already out-of-reach game even worse, when they could of just ran the clock down.

I liked Warren Sapp, until he made such an ignorant comment like this one to Urban Meyer.
Sapp must be angry at the fact that his team is no where as good as the Florida Gators.

Sapp also bashed CB DeAngelo Hall, saying he gets burned and he is overrated.
Warren Sapp could get fired for comments like these.
Warren, we all know the Raiders aren't very good, and they haven't won a total of 20 games in the last five seasons.
But they are a team that is young and trying to compete in the AFC West.
I suggest that you should keep your mouth shut instead of saying things like this about both Urban Meyer and the Oakland Raiders.
He has been just plain stupid since his retirement this offseason.

love this article Jake. Sapp seams to be a talker. He did have good stats when he was with the Bucs, but his years with the Raiders were a waste. He better shut up before someone tells him off.

Like the article, Jake. I did watch the game Sapps talking about. UF benefited from a couple of bad calls, if they don't happen it probably would have been a 13 to 3 game and Sapps not trash talking. In regards to the Raider's he took alot of crap from the team and feel he has the right to dish it back to them.
Plus need to add that he's on this coming season of Dancing With The Stars.

Sorry Jake but I just don't agree. The only reason to kick a meaningless field goal with 30 seconds less is to make your team look better for the BCS. I'm sure some Hurricane fans feel the same way Warren Sapp does about kicking that field. Did he overstep his bounds by calling Urban Meyer a classless dirtbag? Maybe.
It probably took a lot out of Sapp having to play in Oakland where the team will always be doomed as long as Al Davis is in charge. The Raiders looked pathetic against the Broncos and they allowed a rookie wide receiver to run circles around their secondary. The man that Sapp went after Deangelo Hall made two boneheaded plays. So you wonder why Sapp would call him out? There's your reason.

The FG was to cover the spread to make the Florida Boosters happy. It goes on. Beano Cooke was frothing on ESPN radio about saying Bud Wilkerson told him its something coaches try to do to keep the big booster boys happy. The Field Covered the spread, it was rather blatant.
As for Sapp he is a big mouth jerk. Remember his cheap shot on Packer tackle Clifton that nearly ended his career? His laziness in games taking plays off? No HOF nod from me...
And the Canes complaining about running the score up? That's when ya know the old Cane days are gone forever...
Running up the score was their specialty...stop em if ya don't like it they'd say

except for the urban meyer comment, I have no problem with sapp. I think he's dead on with Oakland. Im a raider fan and I agree with some of the things he said about the raiders. I just wish he bash al davis a few times.

This is the same Sapp that had back to back personal fouls for running his mouth last year and getting kicked out of the game. He is now committing personal fouls with his mouth on TV. It is just who he is. Same guy who spits in players faces. HE HAS NO CLASS. He made millions playing for Davis and now bits the hand that fed him. Why was he quiet while he played? He wanted his paycheck, winning was secondary or he would have played somewhere else with a better chance at getting to the SB.

I think that sapp and randy shannon and every other miami fan that thinks less of the gators for kicking the field goal, are not only idots, but they are hypocrites. The week before that game, miami was beating a weak team 45-7 and went for it on 4th down and got it and scored a TD with 2:33 left in the game to make it 52-7. This is the problem with this country. Can you believe that we have idots like this that have the right to vote.
