BCS champions are always usually at the center of a controversy as the system that brings two teams together for the national championship game is always questioned and second-guessed as fans of the sport yearn for a playoff to settle things.

Since that won't be happening anytime soon, we're here to look at who could be contenders for the championship next season. If Cam Newton returns, Auburn has to be one of the favorites again, along with Oregon, who will be returning LaMichael James and Darron Thomas to help run that high-powered offense.

There will also be teams like Stanford, who with Andrew Luck at the helm will have a chance to make big things happen next season. It should be a really fun ride and I'm sure there are plenty of people who can't wait for next season to start already.
