Will Golf Have a $20 Million Man?

The PGA Tour Playoffs are interesting concept in many ways. The race is over with the Tour championship still to play.

Furthermore, it causes a ripple effect in the world of golf.

Players out of this chase are now relegated to playing on the Nationwide Tour, meaning some regulars can't get into events they wish to play.

Furthermore, some players are dual members of the European and PGA Tours. That concept will only get more interesting when the European Tour adopts its own playoff-like concept, the Race to Dubai.

This will be interesting because to be a member, you only have to play 12 tour events but as many as 8 of those are co-sanctioned events (the WGC and the majors are official European Tour events), This means some players could qualify for the 10 million euro prize by playing only 4 European tour events.

It will be interesting to see who chooses to do so.

Could golf have a $20 million man? Good luck following your favourite players in the coming seasons. Some may gain extra airmiles.
