For years, Lex Luger chased Ric Flair and the world title. He tried everything that he could think of, but it simply was not enough to achieve his goal.

Then Harley Race came along. With the legendary former champion in his corner, Luger was finally able to capture the world title. All he needed was Race to yell, "Now's the time!" for that to happen.

Race needs to pick up the phone and call Wade Barrett right now to give him that exact same message.

Barrett needs to remember everything that he's learned in his six years in the business. He needs to take all of that and put on the greatest performance on the microphone that he's ever done in his career.

On SmackDown next week, Barrett needs to explain to the world why he decided to leave Raw and show up on the blue brand.

Years from now when we look back at his career, we're going to see that Barrett's next promo is going to be his most important one. He has to be able to sell the story with his words. He has to explain his actions.

If he does it right, his character has a fighting chance on SmackDown. He might even become the World Heavyweight Champion some day.

If he does it wrong, though, his character might suffer irreparable damage.
