Cotton Bowl 2011: Game Time and Score Prediction
Cotton Bowl 2011 will feature the No. 11 LSU Tigers against the No. 17 Texas A&M Aggies at 8 pm ET on the FOX Network.
The match-up will pit two potential high draft picks against each other for perhaps one final NFL audition. Linebacker Von Miller will lead Texas A&M's defense against the even more stingy defense of LSU, led by Patrick Peterson.
Peterson is projected as a Top 5 pick, and may be the Tigers' answer to Ryan Tannehill and the Aggies' steady passing attack.
Meanwhile, Von Miller could staying in Texas, if indeed he is selected by the Houston Texans with the 11th pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.
It seems both teams have plenty of offensive weapons, and strong defenses. This game is going to be close, but could come down to which defense shows up first. LSU QB Jordan Jefferson will need the game of his life to lead his offense to a win, and the Aggies will need several stops on defense to take this one.
This game will come down to the wire, but ultimately, I have to buck the trend of the analysts and scouts, and say LSU will squeak this one out in the true spirit of unexpected wins that has marked this college post-season.
