Hurricane To Affect NFL

Bad weather that's approaching the Texas Gulf will affect the Texans vs. Ravens game.

I'm sure you know about hurricane Ike, right? Hard not to, it's all over the news. Nobody thought about it affecting sports. The Ravens vs. Texans game was scheduled for Sunday at 4:15pm ET, so is Ike. The NFL has moved that game to Monday night at 8:30pm ET.

Will this affect the normally scheduled Monday night game? For all those who were worrying about it, no. The Texans and Ravens game will take place on CBS. The Cowboys and Eagles game, which was the original Monday night football game, will be televised also at 8:30pm ET on ESPN.

The last game that was affected by a hurricane was in 2005. Kansas City at Miami game moved from Sunday, Oct. 23 to Friday, Oct. 21 due to approaching Hurricane Wilma. Chiefs won 30-20. Also, the entire Saint's home season was moved to different cities in 2005 because of hurricane Katrina.
