Miami Dolphins: Meeting Scheduled with Eric Mangini, then Canceled
The Miami Dolphins coaching carousel gets even weirder, just when you think it couldn't. After it was decided that they were going to keep Tony Sparano, there are now reports then they were planning to meet with former Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini earlier today, but that meeting has now since been canceled.
According to the Miami Herald, the reason for the Dolphins' interviewing Mangini was to "pick his brain as a consultant who has 'knowledge of the division'." Whether this was a meeting just to get Mangini's perspective on things is a matter of debate, but one thing is certain: given everything going on in their front office, the timing is terrible.
