Blake Griffin's Top 10 Dunks in His Early Career

Some might say it may be too early.

But some NBA players go an entire NBA career without a being able to put together a highlight reel of dunks.  Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin has already put together a list of disgusting dunks in the first true season of his career.

With the news of Blake Griffin entering the 2011 Dunk Contest, why not look at the top ten dunks of his explosive early career?

These dunks are hard to rank, but fun to watch.

10. Nov. 3, 2010 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

The only Thunder in this building was the echo of Blake Griffin's jam.  

It wasn't OK for OKC.

9. Oct. 5, 2010 vs. Portland

It only makes sense that Blake Griffin's first career points would be off of a slam.

It would only be a sign of things to come.  And it would get much worse for his opponents.

Bam.

8. Preseason 2009 @ Los Angeles Lakers

This dunk was in the preseason of the 2009-2010 compaign before Griffin got injured.

Still, talk about posterized.  Good thing DJ Mbenga talks broken English because you know he was at a loss for words.  

There is literally nothing you can do after this happens to you by a rookie.

7. Dec. 22, 2010 @ Houston Rockets

Should I use a cliche Rockets analogy?  Oh yeah.

Just look at how high he gets in the air.  Talk about athleticism to be able to track that wild oop and throw it down.

Sky rockets in flight!  Afternoon delight!

6. Nov. 20, 2010 vs. New York Knicks

Put backs from Blake Griffin are dirty.  Especially when Amar'e Stoudemire takes a careless swipe at the rebound.

When a shot bounces off the rim, it's like spilling blood in the ocean.

The shark will find the weak and the shark will eat.  Blake Griffin is the shark (if you didn't get that already).

Next time attempt to block out, Amar'e.  If you dare.

5. Oct. 29, 2009 vs. New Orleans Hornets

This may have led to him missing the 2009-2010 season, but for our entertainment I'm glad he went for it.

The steal and the monstrous throw down is unreal.  If you're guarding him, do us all a favor and just get out of his way.

I wish he could have been on NBA Jam.  His dunks wouldn't be exaggerated at all.  He's on fire!

4. Oct. 27, 2010 vs. Portland Trail BLazers

Another great highlight from Blake Griffin's first career NBA game.

You can tell the Portland defenders never expected Griffin to get up like that.  They are just watching him and then they all put their heads down.

Then again, who knew it was humanly possible before him?

3. Jan. 5, 2010 vs. Denver Nuggets

This highlight is from last night against the Nuggets.

For Clippers fans who are hoping there may be a ray of light when it comes to picking up 'Melo, this may have helped.

He'll probably go to New York or New Jersey, but who wouldn't want to play with a guy who can sky like Griffin?

If it didn't help, it surely didn't hurt.  Actually, it probably hurt the Nuggets a lot.

The get back SLAMMMMM dunk!  I love that announcer.

2. Oct. 16, 2010 vs. Utah Jazz

Why are were they playing on the Lakers court?  Actually, it doesn't matter.

What does matter is how bad Blake Griffin threw this down.  He catches the ball with one hand outside of the charge circle and proceeds to make it look easy.

Good riddance, Utah defenders.

1. Nov. 20, 2010 vs. New York Knicks

There are no words for this dunk.  No words I can put on here at least.

Can you even call it a dunk?  Absolutely.

This one is reminiscent of the Vince Carter dunk over that European dude.  Kind of the same thing here over another European dude.

Griffin throws this one down with more tenacity than I can ever remember seeing in a dunk.  And I love the little pat on the back of the head of Timofey Mosgov.  

It's kind of saying, "Aw, you're defending me?  That's cute."

Get ready for the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, it's going to be dirty.
