Squared Circle: WWE League: Week #1

1 of 8

If your a fan of WWE you probably know all about the Power25. If you don't then it's WWE's way of telling you who had the best week on their wrestling programming. They run it all year and through a criteria only known to them revealed the top 25 wrestlers in their company are revealed.

Since this is the first week of 2011, Squared Circle is setting up its own system. Unlike WWE's Power25 that measures for a week, the League system will attempt to measure performance all year round. It will do this by taking each and every Superstar's actions of the week into account. Positive actions will reward points and negative actions will take them away. For each episode of Raw, Smackdown, Superstars and NXT every wrestler (male or female) will be judged.

Oh and unlike WWE's system, you can't maintain the No. 1 spot by not competing. If a wrestler wants to be recognised as one of the best he or she is going to have to win matches.

So lets take a look at how the points are rewarded.

    * Have Completed Their 30th Day as Tag Champions (+2)

Despite Dolph Ziggler becoming the new No.1 Contender for the World Championship and gaining a new NXT rookie, Kofi Kingston's two Intercontinental Championship matches on Smackdown secure him the top spot for the first week. Del Rio's two falls match with mysterio as well with an unexpected apperance on Raw allow him to stay above The Viper Randy Ortonb.

The World Champions stay close in tow as Edge and Miz take the 5th and 6th spots respectively.

At the opposite end of the table US Champion Daniel Bryan languishes after two bad results and is only kept above Del Rio's announcer because he carries gold. Hopefully future weeks will see The American Dragon pick up some wins and move upwards and onwards.
