The University of Maryland will reportedly announce on Monday that Randy Edsall will become the Terrapins' new coach.

The Baltimore Sun and ESPN's Joe Schad are reporting that Edsall, currently the Connecticut coach, will be introduced on the College Park, Md. campus tomorrow.

The Washington Post reported earlier today that Edsall was heading to College Park with his family for a tour of the campus this afternoon after leaving Arizona, where his UConn Huskies lost to Oklahoma, 48-20, in Saturday night's Fiesta Bowl.

Edsall, 52, is 74-70 in 12 seasons at Connecticut, including five bowl appearances and two Big East titles.

If true, it obviously means former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach, long thought to be the frontrunner to replace Ralph Friedgen, is out.
