Vikings vs. Lions: Leslie Frazier the Right Man for Vikings Head Coaching Job?
As opposed to Cleveland (see you later, Mangenius), the Vikings have not packed it in. They have and continue to play hard - maybe they haven't played well, but they are playing hard. And when it is so easy to quit, it says something about the team, and the coach, that Minnesota has the pride to play and leave it all out there.
But, does it say enough to make Leslie Frazier the head coach next season? After all, it was his love affair with Madieu Williams that caused the Vikings to sign that bum. It is Leslie's defense, and admittedly the precipitous fall of the defensive line's play, that was unable to create turnovers and points when the offense was struggling. And again, the team hasn't necessarily played well - while Frazier deserves credit for getting them to beat Philly, should he really get credit for beating Washington and Buffalo?
I'm not sure either way if Frazier is the man for the job. But I'd at least make a call to Jon Gruden before deciding, Zygi.
