UFC 125: The Latest Buzz Leading Up To Tonight's Edgar-Maynard Championship Bout

UFC 125: Resolution is nearly upon us, and the much-anticipated bout between current Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar and challenger Gray Maynard could come down to the final blows.

However, Edgar has only experienced defeat once in his career, and he has followed it with five consecutive wins.

Maynard will enter the contest as the only fighter to have ever defeated Edgar. He is undefeated in his professional MMA career, and he holds the longest undefeated streak in UFC history for his division. While he may not knock out Edgar in nine seconds like he did Joe Veres, he stands as Edgar's biggest competition.

The UFC has chosen a dandy of an opener for the 2011 campaign, and this fight is the premiere event for the lightweight championship.

Edgar, the MMA Weekly No. 1 ranked lightweight fighter in the world, takes on Gray Maynard, the only fighter to ever claim victory over him, at 10:00 pm ET at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
